25 Risso's Dolphins Killed, 29. November 2013

29.11.2013

There were between 24-25 dolphins caught in the cove. The ruthless killers wasted no time in selecting those for meat; those who were deemed to small were kept at a distance just outside the nets in which the rest of the family were brutally murdered.

The killers bullied the dolphins into the shore. One dolphin became caught up in between the rocks and the nets. Divers were sent to untangle the dolphin, which was splashing about trying desperately to escape. The killers tied ropes to the tail fluke then proceeded to drag them backwards still entangled.

Today the killers were quick to process and slaughter the majority of this captured family of Risso’s. The bodies of the slaughtered pod, made up of the adult members, were dragged past the remaining juveniles who were left behind, soon to be driven out to sea to fend for themselves.

In total 17 were slaughtered and the remaining family members driven back out to sea.
