Cove Guardians spotted the killing boats on the horizon just after 8:30 am. The "bangers" soon lined up into that all too familiar shape we know as, The Drive Formation. A pod had been found.

For over three hours we watched in horror as the killing boats tried to gain control of the pod, as they pushed them ever closer to the shore and the killing cove. The family was finally overtaken out of pure exhaustion, then netted, with no possibility of escape, into the cove.

Then a small family of 6 Risso Dolphins were forced upon the killing shore and brutally killed. Their last moments of life were heard by all. The trashing of tails, screams from the Rissos and laughter from the murderers. A favorite meat eaten in the area, the killers made no haste in taking the dead bodies to the butcher house.

Where locals buyers line up to purchase the mercury laden meat. Which is often "passed off" as whale meat. With every Dolphin slaughtered in Taiji,,Japan and elsewhere, our planet, as a whole, is ever closer to its very own Death. Greed and entitlement being the driving forces behind the hands that kill.
